me mou, me mou

Sorry I have not been posting, just been really busy, my little boy is longer a baby!  We went out for a pub lunch the day he turned 18 months and it just really hit me that he is no longer my little baby :-( what every mum dreads.

He is getting to be a fan of Mickey Mouse or “me mou”. I got him several pairs of Pj’s featuring “me mou” and he loves them. Constantly taking them off the washing line and shouting “me mou”.

Been busy on the sewing front and got some lovely fabrics, also did a craft fair, not very successful, but doing one in September at a place called The Vine in Dundee, it looks a fantastic place, and if you are in the area then pop down.

Made some tissue holders for the pocket tissues and have added a wee strap and clip so they can be hanged so they are not lost!

Made this Looney Toones card, it folds flat and fits into an 8 x 8 envelope.

Here are some other cards that I have done. I love the Scottish Piper one.

It will be nearly Christmas and I will have a two year old, how time flies!

Yuk, yuk and treble yuk

Well what a few months we have had!  Turns out I had not fully recovered from the illness at Christmas,  Robert took ill at beginning of February with a cold, cough and runny eyes, and I of course got it as well, and ended up being off my work for 3 days, and those that know me, know I will carry on rather than be in bed.  Had virtually no voice, really bad head, felt better on the Wednesday and by bedtime, earache had set in.  Not had earache for a very long time and boy was it sore.  Thankfully we both recovered well and even though I had not fully recovered until now. Little boy is still teething so by the time we go back to the dentist, he could have a full set of teeth in six months.

Getting Robert starting on the crafts early, here he is researching his next project! This is the Create and Craft Magazine and no sooner had I got it in my hand that son of mine nabbed it out of my hand and started reading it!

These little bunnies are for sale in the shop! Comes with a bag of mini eggs.

I also made this fantastic owl pj case, pattern I found in Homemaker mag, and she is for sale in the shop too!

Made the mistake of reformatting my hard drive and what a job! Did a stupid thing and not saved my bookmarks so lost all my fabulous sites that I had marked, silly person, just a good excuse to go looking at stuff now!

See you soon

Happy New Year 2014

Happy New Year 2014

Oh what a Christmas!  I was unfortunately unwell leading up to Christmas but thankfully managed to recover in time for the festivities.  Boy was I glad, little boy was spoilt by all the family and he enjoyed spending the day with some of his cousins. He managed to eat mash potato, gravy and turkey for his dinner. His birthday a week later was just as much fun! I baked a teddy bear for his birthday and decorated with some lemon icing and sprinkles. After singing happy birthday, he grabbed one of the paws, ate the icing, sprinkles and some of the cake and then threw it down and crawled away! Can’t believe I have a one year old!!!!

Two days later he started walking and boy in the space of the week he has got really good! I bought him a walking angel harness which shall come into play soon, and we go for his first shoes next week!!!

I have been busy on the sewing front, I subscribe to Sew and Stitch collection and one of the projects is this little cute monster tooth alien. I am very impressed in how he has turned out and is available to buy in the shop.  The felt for the face, plaster and pocket is placed using bondaweb and then hand sewed in place.

I also managed to get hold of some fabulous fabrics from various sources and made some lovely crayon rolls, just love this print with cows and pigs on.

I just love this football material and the stripped inner.

The crayon rolls can be found in my shop.

I have also added more tea towel bags, these are in fantastic colours

I recently bought some lovely material from Plush Addict and then placed a second order for ripstop fabric, as I found a fabulous project on their blog. Will not let you see it just yet ;-)
